COVID-19

The importance of safety in our industry cannot be overstated. Protecting our workforce is more than meeting regulatory obligations, it is a moral commitment to the well-being of our employees who assume occupational risk to contribute to our operations. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. Employees and contractors need to know that workplace safety infrastructure is in place and that they will go home to their families at the end of each day.

In an effort to minimize the spread of Covid-19, anyone exhibiting flu or cold-like symptoms - no matter how minor - must leave the jobsite immediately and report to their manager. Our workplace policies ensure that workers and others showing symptoms of COVID-19 are prohibited from the workplace. This includes:

  • Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. cough, fever, difficulty breathing),

  • Anyone directed by Public Health to self-isolate,

  • Anyone who has been in contact with a person who has tested positive or is undergoing testing for COVID-19, and

  • Anyone who has been outside of Canada in the 14 days prior to arrival at a company  site.

At CCH we believe that safety is a shared responsibility. We are committed to working as One Team in the spirit of consultation and cooperation. We believe maintaining a culture of safety begins with strong leadership. We communicate clear expectations and lead by example, while encouraging openness, accountability and vigilance at every level of our operations. From setting policy at the management level to looking out for each other in the field, we all participate collectively in the health and wellbeing of our team.

Please refer to our COVID-19 Safety Plan for more information.
